Staffinity is currently seeking a IT Risk Data Analyst for a client located in Halifax, NS. This is a full-time, permanent position with salary, benefits, RRSP matching and vacation. The base salary range is 130-140k. This is a day shift position, Monday to Friday and will work on a hybrid model of 2 days per week in the office and 3 from home.
Responsibilities :
Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using SQL, Python, Tableau, and Excel to analyze risk-related data.
Collaborate with IT risk management teams to understand their data analysis needs and deliver precise reports.
Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques to identify trends or patterns in complex data sets.
Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs and provide data-driven recommendations.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reporting and analytics activities.
Proficiency in SQL for complex querying and data manipulation.
Strong programming skills in Python for data analysis and automation tasks.
Advanced proficiency in Tableau for creating intuitive and actionable dashboards.
Expertise in Excel for data analysis, including the use of advanced formulas, pivot tables, and charting.
Business knowledge in IT Risk Management and Reporting to understand and interpret the data correctly.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of experience in a data analysis role, preferably within IT risk management.
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex findings and ideas in plain language.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
Experience with DBT (Data Build Tool).
Familiarity with Dagster for orchestrating data pipelines.
Knowledge of containerization technologies to support application deployment consistency.
