A leading company is seeking a Power BI specialist to enhance data analytics and reporting processes. The candidate will play a pivotal role in developing financial reports, managing KPIs, and contributing to projects that showcase data insights to executive leadership. This position offers significant opportunities for networking and exposure across all levels of the organization while utilizing advanced technologies.
We are looking for a candidate with strong Power BI data analytics and reporting skills to help us with a range of reporting needs (e.g. headcount tracking, financials, key process indicators (KPIs)).
The ideal candidate would possess a minimum of 2 years of hands-on Power BI experience with a background in data engineering or data analysis, an understanding of database management, data modeling, data warehousing, SQL querying, business intelligence and online analytical processing (OLAP).
Key focus areas would include:
experience in creating data-rich dashboards, implementing row-level security in Power BI, and writing data analysis expressions (DAX)
experience in data analysis/visualization using charts, reports and Dashboards generated with PBI
experience in data preparation and knowledge of best practices in the collection of data from various sources and the preparation of the data with the same dimensions and measurements for smooth analysis.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
Power BI data analytics and reporting skills
2-3 years of hands-on Power BI experience with a background in data engineering or data analysis
An understanding of database management, data modeling, data warehousing, SQL querying, business intelligence and online analytical processing (OLAP)
background in data engineering – SQL, programming, create visualization of data sets
Understanding of Financial reporting
Power Apps – RBI background

Typical Day in Role
Develop, manage and report on key process indicators (KPIs) for biweekly and monthly reporting
Produce financial reports for inputs into project financials, resource/headcount tracking and project planning / deliverables critical to financial planning and tracking
Other projects as needed for executive leadership, GWAM Data Office reporting
Education:
Bachelor's degree required. Must be degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field.
