The company would like to internalize certain areas of expertise in order to be more agile and improve data management and quality. The GHG data analyst has expertise in data collection and management and in calculating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

In addition to his or her GHG inventory expertise, this person will need to demonstrate a concern for and ability to implement the processes and actions required to increase the reliability and quality of the data used, in a highly dynamic and changing operational context, in collaboration with the company's other business units. She or he will also be involved in the deployment of an internal GHG quantification tool (software).

Responsibilities

  • Collect, manage and analyze data relating to GHG emissions (Scope 1, 2 and 3) by deploying new processes.
  • Develop a methodology for calculating GHG emissions (Scope 1, 2 and 3) according to the guides and reference frameworks recognized and followed by the organization.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of tools and databases for monitoring GHG emissions, in collaboration with other internal resources.
  • Contribute to the preparation of internal and external reports on GHG emissions and decarbonization progress.
  • Lead the implementation of processes to improve data quality and accuracy, notably by collaborating with other teams.
  • Participate in the choice and deployment of the GHG emissions quantification tool within the organization.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and best practices in GHG quantification and reporting in the industry's various markets (North America, Europe, Australia).
