Based in Dieppe, New Brunswick, the Data Analyst (Environment, Health & Safety) will contribute to our mission of "Everyone Goes Home Safe" by leveraging the strength of the existing health and safety management system consistently across multiple divisions.
Qualifications
- A University degree in Business, Sciences, or Engineering — with a concentration in mathematics and statistics preferred
- Minimum 3 years of analytical related experience
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
- Project and initiative leadership skills
- Experience with analysis and reporting software systems required; familiarity with EHS and business analysis IT systems such as Intelex, Alteryx, Enhesa, and Tableau is highly desired. Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, are required for data visualization and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Safety Operating System (Intelex), Learning Management System (HCM), and supporting systems like Tableau effectively and efficiently.
- Ensure successful adoption of technology and provide expert support to drive safety outcomes.
- Create visual analytical dashboards to identify trends, and prepare reports and presentations to communicate safety data and insights to stakeholders.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret safety data to identify trends, improve safety programs, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Analyze incident reports, conduct trend analyses, and use data to inform safety initiatives.
- Lead and assist in safety improvements and projects.
- Develop and maintain safety data databases, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Support the implementation of safety management systems and provide training when necessary.
- Contribute to developing and improving safety procedures.
- Conduct audits and inspections to ensure safety regulation compliance.
- Stay informed about new technologies, trends, and best practices in the industry.
