The Law Society of Alberta seeks a Senior Data Analyst to provide advanced data analytics, reporting and business analysis across multiple departments. In alignment with the Law Society’s vision, mission, and strategic plan, the Applications and Information (A&I) department provides development and operational support in the areas of business applications, information governance and management, data reporting and analytics, project management, process improvement and organizational change management.
As a key member of the A&I team, the Senior Data Analyst provides advanced data analytics, reporting and business analysis support across multiple departments, including Trust Safety, Finance, Conduct, Education, Governance and other business areas. This role coordinates and leads data analytics work, translates business needs into reporting solutions and dashboards, and acts as a key liaison between departmental business contacts and the A&I Data Analytics team.
Success in this position requires advanced business analysis and data analytics skills, strong communication and project coordination abilities, strategic thinking, and the ability to identify patterns in data that support improved decision-making. The Senior Data Analyst must be able to manage competing priorities, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and support the development of increasingly complex analytics solutions.
