Pattison Food Group Ltd. in Langley, BC is seeking a Data Analyst 1 to join our Data & Analytics team. You will analyze data, build reports and dashboards, and deliver actionable insights to help business decisions.

Reporting to the Lead Data Engineer, you will use SQL and Python for data preparation, support experiments, and communicate findings to stakeholders across marketing, retail operations and merchandising.

Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering or economics.
• 3+ years of relevant data analytics, reporting, or analytics experience.
• Strong SQL skills for querying and transforming data.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and wrangling.
• Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau for dashboards and reports.
• Familiarity with cloud data environments (Azure/AWS/GCP) and Databricks is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand priorities, questions, processes, and KPIs.
• Analyze data to generate insights for decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Build reports, dashboards, and visualizations communicating findings clearly.
• Maintain dashboards and data assets in production for accuracy and performance.
• Write SQL queries to extract, transform, and prepare data for analysis.
• Use Python for exploratory analysis, data wrangling, and stats work as needed.
• Support experiments such as A/B testing and interpretation of results.
• Validate data used in reporting and analysis, troubleshoot issues.
• Work with large datasets in cloud-based analytics environments.
• Support governance and cost optimization of visualization/reporting tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support reporting and business needs.
• Identify trends and actionable recommendations through thoughtful analysis.
• Develop knowledge of core datasets and reporting logic within analytics domain.
