Role Overview

We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join our Data Team. The Data Team ensures the business has access to reliable and actionable data to inform product development and meet business objectives. You will work with the Data Team in the Engineering Department to collect model and analyze data to help the company become more productive and profitable. You will transform raw data into usable models plan and assess the results of A/B tests and assist internal teams in building out their own reporting. This role reports to the Team Lead Data.

This is a remote role; labeled as LI-Remote.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project stakeholders and the data team to design and build scalable, user-friendly systems for our customers.
• Build and test data models using SQL and dbt.
• Expose high-quality and documented data sets to end users through our BI tool.
• Debug data quality issues as they arise.
• Work with stakeholders such as Product Managers, Product Analysts, and Developers, and support them with ad hoc analyses.
• Follow proper data architecture and development paradigms.
• Discuss strategy and outline tradeoffs of potential software solutions.
• Perform data analyses to support external teams.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies.

Requirements

• University degree or college diploma in a recognized technical, vocational, or academic program (preferably in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science) or equivalent work experience.
• 4 years of working experience with SQL.
• 2 years of working experience with dbt (data build tool).
• Experience with a cloud data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Experience with a BI tool and creating data visualizations (e.g., Looker).
• Experience turning data into actionable insights and building analytical data models.
• Able to communicate efficiently with stakeholders both verbally and in writing.

• Experience with Python.
• Experience with prompt engineering.
• Prior insurance domain knowledge.
• A passion for clean, reusable, and well-structured code.
