Job description

As a data analyst for Ford Pro, you will be responsible for assisting with the monthly commissions process, workflow management, and performing various analyses to drive the business. This position collaborates with internal stakeholders such as Legal, Finance, Revenue Operations, and Sales to ensure commissions are executed efficiently and accurately.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (successful candidates will need to provide proof of degree completion. If obtained outside Canada, an Education Credential Assessment showing Canadian equivalency is required)
  • 2+ years of experience with sales compensation and dealer payments
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis
  • Experience in data analysis and programming (e.g., SQL, Python)

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within the automotive industry
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, Looker)
  • Experience with ad-hoc sales finance analysis
  • Understanding of sales variable payments, including commissions, draws, MBOs, and SPIFFs
  • Strong attention to detail for accuracy
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks
  • Effective communication skills for stakeholder engagement and dispute resolution

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Administer sales variable payments (commissions, draws, MBOs, SPIFFs) according to processes
  • Run analysis (SQL reports, Excel) to compare variances at termination
  • Distribute individual sales compensation documents accurately and timely
  • Calculate and book monthly commission accruals
  • Resolve disputes, inquiries, and process corrections
  • Apply and ensure compliance with the commission plan
  • Support the development of a global sales compensation team and best practices
  • Support sales leadership, operations, and finance with metrics and reporting
  • Create and document processes for monthly/quarterly close, audits, and compliance
  • Manage participant data for commissions, including new hires and terminations
  • Assist with ad-hoc analysis and process improvements
  • Support SOX compliance through audits and documentation
  • Use Salesforce to research commission data
