Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Funding and Special Projects, the Data Analysis Coordinator will obtain, enter, collate, and develop summary reports on client utilization of programs. The role involves developing effective data collection tools in partnership with the City to better understand service users.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Conduct comprehensive reviews of academic and industry publications focusing on housing and related needs, including affordability, shelter trends, homelessness rates, and related factors.
  2. Summarize and synthesize research findings to inform projects, ensuring alignment with current knowledge and best practices.
  3. Identify and assist in preparing requests for proposals, grants, and funding opportunities to support affordable housing initiatives.
  4. Maintain historical and current data for reports required internally and for funders.
  5. Develop and oversee comprehensive data analysis to prepare key reports and support recommendations.
  6. Lead and support research conducted by Housing Services and partner organizations.
  7. Respond to data requests and projects.
  8. Assist with maintaining a database tool.
  9. Receive occupancy numbers daily from each site and send reports to the City promptly.
  10. Compile reports from site supervisors and overnight staff into daily staffing reports for the City.
  11. Collect and input statistics from Housing Preparation and Support Workers and site shift reports.
  12. Maintain collaborative relationships with funders and partners, ensuring proper documentation.
  13. Provide information for funder reports as needed.
  14. Design and develop effective data collection tools to inform future programs and services.
  15. Operate efficiently and client-focus to achieve positive outcomes.
  16. Participate actively in department and agency meetings.
  17. Work under agency policies, including the Mission, Vision, and Values.
  18. Meet regularly with the manager and Housing Team to discuss service effectiveness.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Relevant post-secondary degree or certificate, or equivalent work experience in social work or subsidized housing.
  • Two years of related experience in community health or social services.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations (Residential Tenancies Act, Housing Services Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, Landlord Tenant Board).
  • Knowledge of research methodologies, statistical analysis, report writing, and performance indicators.
  • Understanding of data security, privacy practices, and laws.
  • Experience interpreting statistical, demographic, and socio-economic data, with strong report writing skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and internet research.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to present ideas clearly.
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and adapt to change.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada and ability to provide a Vulnerable Sector Screening check.
  • Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations as per Canadian standards.
