Job summary

Zebra Technologies in Mississauga, Canada, seeks a Data & AI Engineer to design and build data pipelines powering AI products. You will lead a team of engineers, implement scalable data platforms, and work with Azure Data Factory, Informatica, and Airflow, as well as Spark-based transformations.

The role is hybrid (3 days in office, 2 remote). Qualifications include 1+ year in Python/Scala/Go, SQL, Spark, and data security. Competitive CAD67,120–CAD100,680 pay range plus incentive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 1+ years in Python, Scala, or Go.
• 1+ years SQL and data transformation experience.
• 1+ years building distributed systems with Spark.
• 1+ year working with Agents, Ontology, and data security.
• 1+ years with relational or NoSQL databases on Linux (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data platforms for AI products.
• Develop productized, parameterized data pipelines for AI, using GPUs/CPUs.
• Write efficient Spark data transformation code (Python/Scala) and Dask.
• Build workflows to automate data pipelines with Python and Argo.
• Develop data validation tests to ensure input data quality.
• Conduct performance profiling of code with various tools.
• Create data pipeline frameworks for high-volume, real-time delivery.
• Operationalize scalable pipelines to support data science.
• Optimize customer data science workloads and cloud costs.
