Job summary

Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking an Operator, Packaging to maintain quality and efficiency in our packaging lines.

You will report to the Supervisor, Packaging and ensure operation and troubleshooting of packaging equipment in a clean, safe environment in a full‑time, permanent role. The position offers a Wednesday to Friday night shift schedule with wage progression from $27.25/hour to $30.25/hour within the first year, plus a comprehensive benefits package and retirement plan.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food manufacturing or packaging preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and sanitation standards per GMP, QA and HACCP.
• Adhere to SOPs to maintain high quality products.
• Operate and troubleshoot packaging equipment.
• Coordinate with Leadhand and Supervisor to optimize efficiency.
• Transport materials and finished products safely around the plant.
• Report urgent equipment problems promptly.
• Maintain safe work conditions and follow hazard reporting procedures.
• Flex shifts when required.
• Support Saputo's quality standards and other duties as assigned.
