Locations: Algonquin, Barrington, & Elgin, Illinois (must be able to float to all of these locations)
Status: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Hours: Monday - Friday, including evenings and rotating weekends
Pay Range (based on experience): $20 - $22/hour

Summary

Responsible for providing administrative support to designated physicians, including answering telephones, performing registration duties, scheduling appointments, and updating patient accounts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Greet and direct patients.
  • Answer telephone calls and assist or direct callers as appropriate.
  • Perform registration ensuring timely and accurate completion of documentation.
  • Responsible for scheduling patient appointments and/or tests and assisting in obtaining referrals when necessary.
  • Maintain a test result log, ensuring all patients receive results in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
  • Facilitate internal communication regarding physician schedule changes and issues pertaining to patient care.

Education and/or Experience

Required:

  • A High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a healthcare setting and have medical terminology knowledge.
  • Experience with data entry and have computer skills.

Preferred:

  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in business or a related and/or equivalent field of study.
  • Previous work experience in an orthopedic practice
