DAILY MANPOWER PLANNER/DISPATCHER
SUMMARY OVERVIEW
This position will have you cross-utilized as a Manpower Planner and Cleaning Dispatcher. The Manpower Planner for Grooming is responsible for overseeing the daily assignments of the Grooming Teams as well as supporting Manpower strategies and alignment with the Operational Managers and Supervisors.
Our Aircraft Cleaner Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and dispatching cleaning personnel to aircraft cleaning assignments. This role involves efficiently scheduling and prioritizing cleaning tasks, ensuring compliance with aviation cleanliness and safety standards, and communicating with cleaning staff and airline representatives. You will play an important role in managing cleaning operations to meet tight turnaround times between flights and maintain a high level of cleanliness within aircraft cabins. Additionally, you may assist in resolving operational challenges and provide support to cleaning teams to ensure a smooth and efficient cleaning process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and dispatch cleaning crews to various locations within the airport.
- Manage and monitor the cleaning schedule, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Communicate effectively with cleaning teams to relay instructions and updates.
- Respond to cleaning requests and emergencies from airport staff.
- Keep track of crew locations and progress using relevant software systems.
- Prioritize cleaning tasks based on urgency and importance.
- Ensure all cleaning operations adhere to airport safety and security regulations.
- Collaborate with other airport departments for coordinated cleaning efforts.
- Maintain a log of cleaning activities and incidents for record-keeping.
- Provide support and information to cleaning staff regarding airport layout and restricted areas.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cleaning schedules and crew deployments.
- Monitor and report on supply usage, recommending reorder when necessary.
- Assist in training new dispatch staff on procedures and systems.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports on cleaning operations for management review.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of cleaning services and dispatch procedures.
- Exceed PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
- Supervise the Manpower Planning activities of the Grooming teams for daily operations.
- Adjust manpower as required by changes in the schedule or work requirements within the timelines.
- Direct and strategically develop the manpower deployment activities for day-of activities and preplanning for next shifts and personnel in support of an effective and efficient operation.
- Ensure all PDA devices are returned to the appropriate storage location through asset management and devices are charged.
- Document and take corrective action to address employee(s) poor performance according to accepted guidelines/procedures.
- Create end-of-shift reports and planning reports for Management in a timely manner.
- Maintain and manage Operational Dashboard within AvTech.
- Coordinate with Aircraft Grooming Leads and Supervisors for inputs and assignments.
- Monitor daily time compliance against resources allocation time.
Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Operational knowledge of the Grooming operation is an asset.
- Experience with computer programs such as Word, Excel, and planning software.
- Ability to maintain an acceptable attendance record and work shifts as required to support the business.
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC).
- Adherence to Prime Flight Uniform standards.
- Ability to meet and follow timelines.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- Problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work any day/shift, including holidays, within a 24/7 operation.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and write accurate reports.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY/WORKING CONDITIONS MAY INCLUDE:
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Prolonged standing and walking in an indoor/outdoor environment as applicable.
- Must be able to push, pull, reach with arms, and grasp with hands.
- Exposure to biohazards and/or chemicals.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, and kneel.
- Must be able to crawl and crouch, at times, in confined tight spaces.
- Exposure to moderate and at times high noise levels.
- Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms.
- Tasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Be able to type with proficiency.
- Continuously sit at a computer for 6-8 hours.
- Be able to talk frequently on the telephone.
- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
