Job description

IT Application Support requires a Sr Application Support Analyst 1 resource with experience designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure, and Power Platform solutions. This resource will be part of the IT Microsoft Dynamics and Power platform sustainment team in Application Support and will be working with client application support staff and project delivery teams with a focus on supporting Dynamics Azure and Power Platform solutions.

The successful applicant will be tasked with helping resolve application support incidents, resolve user issues, provide user training, develop code/configuration fixes, perform enhancements as needed, and providing operational support and knowledge transfer and mentoring of staff.

Remote work is acceptable.

Background

The City of Calgary Information Technology Business Unit is implementing several Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments with a focus on the Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Finance and Operations, Commerce, and Marketing modules in 2023 for client Business Units with more Dynamics 365 implementations to follow in 2024.

Project Scope

The scope is primarily to help the application support team with supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments delivered by others, contributing to the following activities:

  • Resolve incidents, perform maintenance and enhancements tasks on existing Dynamics 365 solutions.
  • Participate in troubleshooting of Dynamics 365 issues, including vendor escalation when required.
  • Knowledge transfer, training, mentor staff on customization/configuration/implementation/sustainment activities.
  • Deliver enhancements for PVA chat bots, Power apps, Azure logic/function apps, and Dynamics 365 solutions.
  • Rewrite deprecated technology functionality to newer technologies in Dynamics and Power platform.
Must Have Skills

Up to date Microsoft Power Platform Certifications for PL-200 & PL-400.

  1. Experience in architecting, estimating solution implementation effort, and configuring Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Sales, and Customer Insights modules as part of delivered solution (3+ years).
  2. Experience in development and implementation of Power Platform Pages, Power Automate Flows, and Power Apps solutions (3+ years).
  3. Experience in development and implementation of Azure Logic Apps and Function Apps (3+ years).
  4. Experience in configuring custom integrations with Dynamics 365 (3+ years).
  5. Experience in D365 plugin development and implementation (3+ years).
  6. Experience conducting performance, unit, system, integration, and quality assurance testing of application (3+ years).
  7. Development experience with .NET, CSS, Java, JavaScript, and HTML (4+ years).
  8. Experience in Azure Dev Ops CI/CS Pipelines (3+ years).
  9. Experience deploying solutions between DEV, TEST, and PROD environments in Dynamics 365 (2+ years).
  10. Gathering and analyzing requirements specific to D365 implementations (5+ years).
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Desired experience includes working for a Certified MS Dynamics Partner, up to date Microsoft Power Platform Certification for PL-600, and up to date Azure AZ-104 certification.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $95.00/hr. This is a fully remote position.
