Responsibilities:

• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle.
• Assist with general truck maintenance, with opportunities to learn diesel mechanical skills.
• Operate a septic vacuum service truck safely and efficiently.
• Follow assigned routes and make sound decisions to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Deliver the highest quality of service to all customers.
• Accurately complete all required documentation at the end of each shift.
• Maintain communication with dispatch throughout the day.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Operate vehicles safely and professionally, obeying speed limits and demonstrating courteous driving behavior.
• Be willing to assist with shop duties on slower route days.

Qualifications:

• Valid D-Z License with a minimum of 3 years’ experience (preferred). Preference will be given to candidates with septic system knowledge or those close to meeting the experience requirement.
• Clean Driver’s Abstract.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Strong customer service skills and courteous driving habits.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Reliable, responsible, and demonstrates strong ethics and integrity.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn about diesel mechanical maintenance is an asset.
• Residency in Prince Edward County is considered an asset.
