Job summary

The University of British Columbia seeks a Cybersecurity Systems Administrator II to design systems hardware and software solutions, define system scope, and support enterprise services. You will collaborate with the Office of the CISO, IT staff, and faculty to coordinate application support and ensure security across domains.

This role reports to the Cybersecurity Systems Support Manager and works within the Solutions Security and Architecture team.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of five years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with Linux and Windows systems, virtualization, and cybersecurity fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and reviews functional requirements, system features, integration requirements, security requirements, and scalability and performance requirements.
• Provides input to technology recommendations for new and changing systems requirements.
• Develops and documents technical specifications and provides end-user support.
