Job summary

Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia is seeking a Manager, Cybersecurity to lead day-to-day security operations and mentor a technical team. This role oversees third-party security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management, aligning with risk tolerance and industry frameworks.

You will collaborate with partners and vendors, report to management, and drive continuous security improvement across Microsoft security tools and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity operations with leadership experience.
• Active CISSP or CISM designation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily cybersecurity operations and incident response.
• Lead third-party security monitoring (SOC/MDR) and service performance.
• Oversee vulnerability assessments and remediation tracking.
• Coordinate security awareness training.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards and disaster recovery capabilities.
