Job summary

Canadian Institute of Actuaries is seeking an Analyst – Cybersecurity and IT Help Desk to deliver frontline technical support to staff and CIA members. You will help ensure reliable access to systems and services while monitoring security alerts and supporting identity management.

The role emphasizes cybersecurity awareness, incident response, and user support for Microsoft 365 and core business apps. A proactive, service-oriented professional with strong communication is required in a hybrid

Qualifications

College diploma in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field.
Up to two years' experience in cybersecurity and IT support or help desk.
Relevant entry level certifications assets such as examples (e.g., SC-900, A+, Network+).
Experience with not-for-profit or membership-based associations is an asset.

Responsibilities

Cybersecurity support: monitor security alerts, system logs, and security dashboards.
Assist admin of Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, Conditional Access, and MFA.
Identify, document, and escalate cybersecurity threats, incidents, and vulnerabilities.
Investigate and respond to security incidents and suspicious activity.
Participate in access reviews and identity lifecycle management.
Support vulnerability remediation and security compliance initiatives.
Assist with cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices.
Support security awareness initiatives and phishing simulations.
Maintain security documentation, procedures, and incident records.
Monitor cybersecurity developments and suggest improvements.
