The Team

Scotiabank’s Cybersecurity Monitoring & Response (CMR) team is responsible for detecting, monitoring, and investigating threats 24/7. We coordinate key programs impacting all divisions within Cybersecurity Operations (CSOps) and Information Security & Controls (IS&C).

The Role

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Cybersecurity Operation Center, the Cybersecurity Investigator handles network environment and data security cases related to the bank’s security controls. The role involves working with various technologies and business lines to remediate and contain network or data risks.

  • At least 1 year experience in SOC or as a Cybersecurity Analyst
  • Post-secondary education or minimum 5 years professional experience
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus
  • Experience in large organizations
  • Basic understanding of computing, networking, cybersecurity concepts
  • Curiosity about emerging threats and technologies
  • Practical experience with cybersecurity labs or CTFs
  • Certifications like Sec+, CySA+, Net+, A+, CISSP (or similar) are advantageous
