Join our team and what we'll accomplish together

As a member of the TELUS Cyber Threat Intelligence Team, within the Chief Security Office, you will be part of a growing national team leading efforts to monitor and distribute awareness around emerging cyber threats to TELUS internal stakeholders and external clients.

As a Security Consultant, you will join a team that promotes proactivity in cybersecurity by gathering intelligence on the latest threats and malicious trends, helping to isolate and assess these trends and their implications, enabling stakeholders to prepare in advance. The team also conducts threat hunting and cyber research to detect and discover threats within TELUS security tools and networks.

What you will do
  • Conduct threat-hunting activities, including IOC reviews, discovery, and detection using TELUS security tools.
  • Integrate internal and external threat intelligence data sources into adversaries' Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) to contextualize threats to TELUS.
  • Maintain high engagement with internal and external threat intelligence stakeholders through monthly touchpoints and advisories.
  • Collaborate effectively with others to obtain alignment on ideas and recommendations.
Qualifications

What you bring

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in security domains such as operations, incident response, threat intelligence, security research, or security automation.
  • Understanding of the threat intelligence lifecycle, kill chains, and experience applying these models in operational settings.
  • Experience with security technologies like endpoint and network tools; familiarity with threat intelligence toolsets is desirable.
  • Excellent business acumen and experience working with cross-functional teams, including operations and technical support.
Great-to-haves
  • CISSP, CISM/CISA, SANS certifications.
  • Role-specific training and certifications such as SANS GSEC, GCTI.
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset.

Salary Range: $66,000 - $100,000

Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 10%

Actual total compensation will depend on knowledge, skills, performance, and experience. Note that the compensation may change in 2025.
