Join Our Team And What We'll Accomplish Together

The Cybersecurity Enablement team's mission is to support the Corporate Security Office (CSO) by developing use cases and tools that enhance reliability and security outcomes. The team works on innovative platforms and develops automation to explore various roles and technologies. We invest in cutting-edge technologies and leverage business intelligence and data analytics to develop security solutions and capabilities.

As a Security Consultant within the Cybersecurity Enablement team, you will be the technical expert responsible for designing, developing, operating, delivering projects, and assuring cybersecurity and operations tools critical to TELUS security teams. This role offers an opportunity to lead strategic transformations to the Cloud, Next-Generation automation, and operations, while improving security and reliability using AI.

What You’ll Do

  • Learn and become an expert in new technologies
  • Lead, inspire, and support team members to achieve high performance and engagement
  • Collaborate and build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Support internal customers through designing and implementing solutions
  • Work closely with other teams to understand and deliver requirements
  • Identify and develop automation opportunities
  • Continuously improve processes for reliability and efficiency
  • Enhance operational support tools and network monitoring solutions

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, software development, or related fields
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical skills to research and solve complex technical challenges
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools, especially Ansible
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, secure coding, and threat mitigation
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field

Great-to-haves

  • Experience with Large Language Model (LLM) AI
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with Splunk
  • Linux administration knowledge
