Job summary

Alcoa is seeking a Cybersecurity Advisor to partner with business leaders, project teams and technology stakeholders to identify cybersecurity risks and embed security into new initiatives from the start. This highly collaborative, advisory-focused role combines cybersecurity architecture, risk management, governance, and stakeholder engagement across IT and OT environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information security or related field, or equivalent cybersecurity leadership experience.
• Significant cybersecurity experience across IT/OT environments.
• Experience advising internal customers to achieve objectives.
• Knowledge of NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, CIS Controls.
• Experience with incident response, risk assessment and security operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity guidance for system implementations, upgrades, and digital initiatives.
• Influence secure IT/OT architectures (ICS/SCADA, IoT, industrial networks).
• Conduct threat modeling and security design reviews for business and industrial systems.
• Advance Cloud security, Zero Trust, and AI governance initiatives.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize cybersecurity risks across IT and operations.
• Support risk mitigation plans and incident response planning.
• Perform risk assessments for projects, vendors, and OT systems.
• Consult on policy, standards, and procedures for IT/OT security.
