Cyber Security Senior Specialist, LCL Subsidiaries & PC Financial, Brampton, ON

We are looking for a collaborative team member to be part of our innovative Cyber Security, Privacy and Network team. In this role, you will be required to utilize your experience and knowledge in recommending, assessing, building, and implementing various security technologies, solutions, and processes. You’ll use your energy and passion to build deep, meaningful relationships with Loblaw subsidiary companies, and rely on your foundation and solid understanding of cyber controls to secure the network, infrastructure, and application stacks. You will bring your expertise within the financial services industry to help assess and mature the PC Financial business’s cybersecurity practices.

What You’ll Do:

  • Review security roadmap and incorporate industry best practices into the cybersecurity governance program for Loblaw subsidiaries.
  • Provide recommendations to improve Loblaw subsidiaries’ cybersecurity processes and reduce their risk exposure, balancing security needs and customer experience.
  • Provide guidance on how to build and deploy secure solutions or implementing compensating controls for IT infrastructure on premise and in cloud environments such as Azure, GCP, and OCI.
  • Partner with Technology and Risk teams across PC Financial to perform risk assessments of third parties, solutions, and deviations from standards.
  • Support PC Financial with response to regulatory inquiries related to cybersecurity as defined within OSFI B13 and B10 guidelines.

What You Bring:

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-level cybersecurity programs within the financial services sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent background in software engineering, computer science, computer engineering or related technical field.
  • You have or in process of obtaining at least one of the following industry security certifications: CISSP, CRISC, CCSP, CSSLP, CISA, CISM, CCSK.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a collaborative nature, working with diverse teams, from business leaders to individual contributors and the ability to influence with a sense of urgency, accountability, and ownership.
  • Understanding of current Security Threat Landscape and direct involvement in Incident and Vulnerability Management Exposure or proven experience with the principles of ITIL Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management, IT Security and Operations, and NIST CSF Framework.
