The Cybersecurity Platform Engineer will play a critical role in designing, deploying, and managing advanced security solutions leveraging the Microsoft E5 Security and Compliance suite. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading security transformation projects, including hands-on deployment and implementation of Microsoft’s modern E5 security capabilities.

This role requires a deep understanding of modern security architectures, practical expertise with third-party security integrations, and proficiency in infrastructure technologies such as modern device management, advanced authentication methods, Zero Trust frameworks, and SIEM solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and implement Microsoft E5 security solutions, including but not limited to :

o Microsoft Entra Identity Protection

o Extended Detection and Response (XDR)

o Microsoft Purview Information Protection and DLP

Integrate third-party security tools across categories such as :

o Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)

o Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASBs)

o Vulnerability Management

Execute discovery and design workshops with clients, demonstrating solution capabilities, documenting customer environment and leading engineering design activities

Develop and enforce Zero Trust security models across the organization.

Manage and optimize modern device management solutions (e.g., Intune, Autopilot).

Design and implement modern authentication mechanisms, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), passwordless authentication, and conditional access policies.

Architect and maintain SIEM platforms, ensuring effective log aggregation, correlation, and incident response, and automation workflows.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align security solutions with business objectives and compliance requirements.

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.

Qualifications :

Experience : 5+ years in cybersecurity engineering roles with a focus on Microsoft E5 security products.

Certifications : Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified : Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals; Azure Solutions Architect; CISSP; or equivalent are highly desirable.

o In-depth knowledge of Microsoft E5 security suite and its integration capabilities.

o Experience with third-party security solutions and their integration with Microsoft ecosystems.

o Proficiency in modern device management tools like Microsoft Intune.

o Strong knowledge and hands-on experience managing and securing on-premises Windows domains, including Active Directory (AD) administration, Group Policy management, and domain controller maintenance.

o Proficiency in designing, implementing, and managing Azure cloud domains, including Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) and hybrid identity configurations.

o In-depth understanding of Microsoft Entra, including Entra Identity Protection, Conditional Access policies, and integration with Zero Trust security models.

o Strong understanding of modern authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect).

o Expertise in SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or similar.

o Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.

o Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

o Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
