Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Canada is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist, Defensive Automation to strengthen our global defense posture. You will lead responses to high-severity events, guide analysts through containment and remediation, and mentor colleagues across the team.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in a SOC setting, hands-on SIEM experience (Splunk/Elastic/QRadar), and scripting skills (Python/PowerShell/Bash). Join us in shaping secure digital operations within a premier automotive brand.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Cyber Security or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years in SOC or similar security environment.
• Advanced knowledge of incident response and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Hands-on with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Elastic, or IBM QRadar.
• Experience scripting/automation with Python, PowerShell or Bash.
• Relevant cyber security certifications are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead response to medium- and high-severity security events.
• Guide analysts and stakeholders through incident remediation.
• Serve as escalation point for complex investigations.
• Contribute to global cyber defense initiatives and SIEM development.
• Mentor teammates and promote knowledge sharing.
• Stay current with evolving threats, tools and practices.
