Cyber-defender Ethical Hacking Instructors for Summer In-Person Teen Courses (Part/Time Contract)

Circuit Stream is a leader in future technology skills training and learning content. We offer world-class educational services for teen and adult learners, focusing on skills needed to leverage immersive and emerging technology.

We are seeking passionate cybersecurity specialists or architects to teach our Cyberdefender: Ethical Hacking courses to learners aged 13-18. These courses are offered both in-person at campuses in Canada. Students will learn to apply the CIA Triad to assess and enhance digital asset security, use various security tools and technologies for assessment and proactive defense, analyze network traffic for vulnerabilities and malicious activities, and implement security controls such as firewalls and cryptographic techniques to mitigate risks. Ideal candidates should have a strong foundation in cybersecurity best practices, experience with VirtualBox and Wireshark, and some teaching, TA, or training experience.

The Cyberdefender: Ethical Hacking courses will be offered at multiple times in formats and locations listed below (subject to enrollments). Please indicate your availability and location in your application. Preference will be given to candidates available to teach during daytime hours (8 am - 3 pm PT) in July and August, in-person.

Responsibilities
  • Lead engaging classroom sessions following the course curriculum.
  • Provide feedback, guidance, and mentorship to students working on PCAP analysis and basic penetration testing on virtual machines.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in cybersecurity fundamentals and ethical hacking practices.
  • Share real-world experiences, case studies, and insights.
  • Grade assessments to measure student progress.
Requirements
  • Availability to teach during the day (8 am - 3 pm PT) in Summer 2025.
  • Professional experience in cybersecurity roles.
  • Bachelor's degree or final-year studies in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in VirtualBox, Kali Linux, Wireshark, Metasploit.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to convey complex concepts accessibly and engagingly.
  • Logical thinking and ability to inspire students.
  • Passion for mentoring and providing feedback.
  • Willingness to adapt to curriculum and industry changes.
