Cutter Operator, Other Products Manufacturing

Canwest Tanks & Ecological Systems Ltd is hiring a Cutter Operator to support production in a manufacturing environment. This role is focused on operating and monitoring cutting equipment to fabricate parts and products, preparing and feeding materials into machinery, and checking finished items to ensure they meet specifications. The work is performed on-site in a noisy and dusty production setting and requires someone who can work carefully, safely, and consistently while handling physically demanding tasks.

What you will do:

  • Set up and operate cutting equipment to fabricate parts and products.
  • Load, feed, or place materials into the machine and monitor the machine during operation to ensure it runs properly.
  • Cut, shape, and fit materials to form parts and components.
  • Inspect manufactured items for defects and confirm they meet specifications.
  • Affix seals or tags to approved products.
  • Return defective products for repair or recycle as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Work environment and physical requirements:

  • This on‑site position has no remote option.
  • Worksite environment can be noisy and dusty.
  • The role is physically demanding, includes repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods.
  • Comfortable with bending, crouching, kneeling, and working in a setting that involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Weight handling may be up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
