Position Description

This key role, from Monday to Friday on the day shift, offers an experienced professional the chance to leverage their expertise in customs processes while contributing to compliance excellence and operational efficiency.

The Customs Technical Analyst ensures database accuracy, minimizes exposure to non-compliance, and reduces transactional errors for both the organization and its clients. With a focus on auditing and resolving disputes, this role demands precision, regulatory expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Maintain and audit client databases to support compliance efforts.
  • Review documents from internal customs raters and freight departments to ensure accuracy.
  • Resolve client disputes with a deep understanding of customs regulations.
  • Support accurate and efficient shipment clearance processes.

Experience

  • 5 years in the Customs Brokerage industry.
  • Familiarity with CargoWise One or related brokerage systems is a strong asset.

Qualifications

  • College diploma in International Transportation & Customs or a related field preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian customs regulations, trade processes, and programs.
  • Designations such as CCS, CTCS, or LCB are highly valued.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
