Plasman is currently seeking a Customs and Outsourcing Coordinator to join our Windsor Tooling team. The role involves handling Canadian and American customs activities related to transportation, logistics, shipments, importing/exporting, and warehousing.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle Canadian and American Customs information involving the transportation of goods across the international border.
• Maintain the CADEX EDI system.
• Ensure adherence and compliance with all customs importing regulations.
• Maintain HTS database for proper classification, duty, tax, and exchange rates.
• Manage incoming purchase orders related to internal job numbers.
• Communicate accurate importation costs for quoting and job costing.
• Stay current on Canadian and international import/export regulations.
• Prepare documentation required for importing or exporting goods.
• Act as C-TPAT liaison, communicating security criteria set by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
• Maintain C-TPAT portal, truck security records, and driver abstracts to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate internal and external logistics, including dispatching drivers, logs, and hours.
• Quote transportation costs for sales and program management departments.
• Arrange cost-effective outside carriers when needed.
• Maintain and renew licenses and certifications.
• Handle courier shipments, including paperwork and packaging.
• Ensure compliance with NAFTA and customs regulations.
• Arrange vehicle certification and maintenance.
• Coordinate outsourcing services for tooling.
• Record Premium Freight on reports.
• Ensure monthly inspections of customer-supplier items are completed.
• Follow company values and code of conduct.
• Support and promote C-TPAT initiatives as per security procedures.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• At least 10 years of Customs Brokerage experience.
• Minimum 5 years of logistics experience in an automotive/tooling environment.
• Strong knowledge of customs software.
• Experience in the mold industry is preferred.
