CEVA Logistics is hiring for a Customs Operations role in Mississauga. The candidate will invoice customs declarations, ensure proper venting of costs, and update client profiles, joining a global logistics team.

The role requires 3–5 years in customs operations, familiarity with CBSA processes, and proficiency in MS Office. CEVA emphasizes safety and inclusion while offering development opportunities.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma is required.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in customs operations.
• Prior exposure to compliance procedures and coordination with freight forwarders or regulatory agencies is preferred.
• Proficiency in Descartes ITMR preferred (nice to have).

Responsabilidades

• Invoice customs declarations and forward according to instructions.
• Comply with procedures established by CEVA, within established deadlines, including ISO norms.
• Obtain checks for freight and other.
• Follow up on confirmed declarations with CBSA.
• Hands-on submission of customs entries to CBSA for HVS and LVS.
• Clearing entries through customs in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Ensuring adherence to all customs requirements and regulatory changes.
• Communicate pertinent information to the immediate supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

YOUR ROLE

Invoice the customs declarations and ensure the proper venting of costs. Update client profiles.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

• Invoice customs declarations and forward according to instructions.
• Comply with procedures established by CEVA, within established deadlines, including ISO norms.
• Obtain checks for freight and other.
• Follow up on confirmed declarations with CBSA (Canada Border Services agency).
• Hands-on submission of customs entries to CBSA for both High Value Shipments (HVS) and Low Value Shipments (LVS).
• Clearing entries through customs in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Ensuring adherence to all customs requirements and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes.
• Communicate, without delay, pertinent information or issues to the immediate supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in customs operations
• Prior exposure to compliance procedures and coordination with freight forwarders or regulatory agencies is preferred
• Proficiency in Descartes ITMR preferred (nice to have)

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent Numerical and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Descartes ITMR preferred (nice to have)
• Familiarity with the CBSA CARM (Assessment and Revenue Management) system
• Ability to navigate and utilize CARM for customs declarations, compliance, and revenue management processes
• Understanding of CBSA regulatory requirements and procedures
