Customer Support Representative - Entry Level Insurance Opportunity

Founded in 1981 , Merit Insurance Brokers is a full-service independent brokerage with over 40years of experience. Operating across North York (Toronto), Waterdown, and Goderich, ON, we serve 10,000+ clients and partner with 40+ domestic and international insurers.

Responsibilities

• Processing new insurance applications and policy changes on multiple insurance company portals
• Data entry and updating customer files in our Broker Management System (BMS)
• New business uploads to various insurance portals
• Communicate with insurers to clarify coverage, obtain quotes, or resolve issues
• Handle customer billing inquiries
• Assist brokers with administrative tasks
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Great verbal and written communication skills
• Team player, strong work ethic, and takes initiative
• Detail-oriented, organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Prior Experience with a broker management system (e.g., TAM, EPIC) is an advantage
• RIBO licensing is a plus—or willingness to pursue it (Merit provides support)
