Customer Service Representative - Fastfrate Group (Montreal)

Position Overview

The Customer Service Representative, under the supervision of the Customer Service Supervisor, performs various tasks to meet customer needs by providing information regarding shipments. The role requires excellent communication, interpersonal skills, good computer skills, and strong planning and organization abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exemplary customer service to enhance customer relationships.
  • Inform customers of additional services offered by Fastfrate or related businesses.
  • Respond to customer inquiries about shipment status, bills of lading, proof of delivery, pickups, delays, or lost shipments.
  • Maintain accurate manual and digital records of shipments.
  • Proactively resolve issues and trace shipments as needed.
  • Coordinate special project POs, from pickup to final delivery.
  • Serve as the main contact for special project accounts.
  • Communicate with branches or personnel regarding freight damages, packing slips, contact info, POs, etc.
  • Prepare and update reports for supervisors and sales teams, including sales, on-time carrier, and manifest reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of customer service or logistics experience in the transportation industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Organizational, scheduling, and instruction-following skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Mandatory knowledge of the transportation industry.
