ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

McDougall Energy is looking for a high energy, customer service focused individual to fill a part timeServerposition at our Nairn Centre Jeremy’s Truck Stop & Country Restaurant and Esso Retail & Cardlock Fueling Station located in Nairn Centre, ON.

Reporting to the Site Manager, this position is responsible for:

Greeting guests in a warm, friendly manner.
Makes suggestions based on menu, daily specials and customer preference.
Take and serve food/drink orders in a timely manner.
Maintains dining area, clearing courses, cleaning, setting tables to include condiments, napkins, and utensils.
Records order; issues bill and collects payment.
Performs general cleaning and busing tables as ensuring high standards of cleanliness are met.
Adheres to food safety protocols.

ABOUT YOU:

The ideal candidate will have: High school diploma or equivalent, Safe Food Handlers Certification an asset.
2 years server experience preferred.
Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Must be able to problem solve and to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and coworkers.
Able to stand for long periods of time.
Basic computer skills to operate Point of Sale (POS) system.
Understanding of Health & Safety standards and safe food handling processes.
Must be able to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
