Job Description
We are looking for a Customer Service Representative who will be responsible for coordinating the sales orders process and managing relationships with key stakeholders – Customers, Sales Personnel, Production, and Accounting. Reporting to the Manager of Customer Service, this role will be based in our Markham location.
Location : Markham, Onsite 5 days a week
Duties and responsibilities
- Take customer orders directly from customers or sales representatives.
- Coordinate and process all incoming sales orders.
- Place orders for materials and supplies used in production.
- Handle customer complaints and questions, and follow up with internal teams (Design, Production, Purchasing, Accounting).
- Send order confirmations to customers.
- Troubleshoot customer order changes, ensuring all modifications are posted and processed.
- Maintain customer files with up-to-date contact and order information.
- Resolve NCRs throughout the order cycle in line with quality standards.
- Serve as the initial contact for new customer inquiries, forwarding to the appropriate Sales Representative as needed.
- Troubleshoot customer order issues and act as a communication link between customer and sales team.
- Obtain quotes and issue purchase orders for corrugated and packing materials from suppliers.
- Follow up with sales, suppliers, production, and other key contacts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience as a CSR in the corrugated and packing material industry is preferred.
- High school diploma with 2-3 years of related experience.
- Detail-oriented, organized, with fast data entry skills.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
- Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
- Strong documentation skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines and respond promptly.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proven problem-solving abilities with creative solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple internal clients and adapt to their needs.
