Job Description

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative who will be responsible for coordinating the sales orders process and managing relationships with key stakeholders – Customers, Sales Personnel, Production, and Accounting. Reporting to the Manager of Customer Service, this role will be based in our Markham location.

Location : Markham, Onsite 5 days a week

Duties and responsibilities

  • Take customer orders directly from customers or sales representatives.
  • Coordinate and process all incoming sales orders.
  • Place orders for materials and supplies used in production.
  • Handle customer complaints and questions, and follow up with internal teams (Design, Production, Purchasing, Accounting).
  • Send order confirmations to customers.
  • Troubleshoot customer order changes, ensuring all modifications are posted and processed.
  • Maintain customer files with up-to-date contact and order information.
  • Resolve NCRs throughout the order cycle in line with quality standards.
  • Serve as the initial contact for new customer inquiries, forwarding to the appropriate Sales Representative as needed.
  • Troubleshoot customer order issues and act as a communication link between customer and sales team.
  • Obtain quotes and issue purchase orders for corrugated and packing materials from suppliers.
  • Follow up with sales, suppliers, production, and other key contacts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a CSR in the corrugated and packing material industry is preferred.
  • High school diploma with 2-3 years of related experience.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, with fast data entry skills.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Strong documentation skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and respond promptly.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities with creative solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple internal clients and adapt to their needs.
