Note: Part-time role, minimum of 12 hours per week. Candidates should be flexible to work within branch hours and available for 3-5 days per week.

Fluency in English and Mandarin preferred.

Delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects. Identifies customer needs and provides advice and guidance regarding financial solutions that are in the best interests of customers. Works collaboratively within the branch and with BMO partners to deliver the desired customer experience and achieve overall business objectives.

  1. Identifies customer needs and initiates referrals to BMO colleagues.
  2. Supports customer requests for banking services, including handling transactions and supporting customers who walk into the branch.
  3. Welcomes customers warmly and meets their banking service and transactional needs with seamless execution.
  4. Offers advice and guidance on available digital and self-serve options to make banking easy, simple, and fast.
  5. Reviews customer profiles and engages in needs-based conversations to identify opportunities and address banking and credit card needs.
  6. Contributes to meeting branch business results and enhances the customer experience.
  7. Supports operational activities such as inventory management, escalated service requests, follow-up on applications, filing, and opening/closing activities.
  8. Manages, loads, and reconciles cash transactions between treasury and branch units.
  9. Executes routine tasks within relevant service level agreements.
  10. Acts as a key member of a collaborative branch and market team.
  11. Probes to understand personal banking and credit card needs, integrating marketing promotions into customer conversations.
  12. Organizes work information for accuracy and completeness.
  13. Finds creative approaches to make each customer's experience personal.
  14. Contributes to improving the overall branch customer experience.
  15. May work at multiple branches based on market needs; work schedule may vary.
  16. Follows risk and compliance policies to safeguard assets, maintain privacy, and act in customers' best interests.
  17. Keeps current with the financial marketplace, legal, and regulatory environment, upholding ethical standards.
  18. Maintains knowledge of personal banking products, practices, and trends.
  19. Identifies and reports suspicious activity related to money laundering.
  20. Complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
  21. Completes standardized tasks under supervision.
  22. Performs initial problem solving within rules/limits and escalates when needed.
  23. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • No prior experience necessary; post-secondary degree or certification in a related field is desirable.
  • High-level knowledge of personal, commercial, and partner offers to serve customer needs.
  • Confident in using social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications.
  • Skilled at helping less digitally confident customers gain confidence in digital banking.
  • Projects a professional presence.
  • Basic knowledge of sales and business banking solutions for referrals.
  • Passionate about helping customers.
  • Focused on delivering a personal customer experience.
  • Resourceful self-starter with confidence to approach customers.
  • Willing to collaborate and work in different team capacities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport.

Salary: $33,850.00 - $44,000.00

Pay Type: Salaried

The salary range and type are representative of BMO Financial Group. Salaries vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and may include commissions. Part-time salaries are pro-rated. For roles with commissions, the listed salary is the target for the first year. Compensation may include incentives, bonuses, benefits, and retirement plans.
