General Summary

As a Family Dollar Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers. Responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting with merchandise selection, completing transactions, and answering questions about the store and products.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers in a positive and approachable manner.
  • Maintain a clean, well-stocked store for customers.
  • Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transporting items from the stockroom to the sales floor.
  • Stock shelves and recover merchandise independently.
  • Handle customer funds accurately and process transactions using the POS system.
  • Monitor customer activity to ensure a safe shopping environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support store operations.

Position Requirements

  • Education : High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to follow directives and interpret retail operational documents.
  • Experience : Retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store experience preferred.
  • Physical Requirements : Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, occasionally up to 55 lbs, and perform walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
  • Availability : Flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Skills and Competencies : Customer focus, potential development, results orientation, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, job knowledge, and relationship management.
