Per worker model below, this is an onsite role.

Working Hours / Location :

  • Standard hours are 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM with a 1-hour lunch break, Alberta time, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays observed by the province.
  • The Information Officer must be flexible and available for potential 24/7 shift work, including days, evenings, weekends, provincial/federal holidays, and overnight shifts.

Description :

The Information Officer is responsible for providing courteous, timely, and accurate information and advice to callers regarding various programs via phone and email. This includes handling inquiries from Albertans seeking information, problem resolution, guidance, and referrals to other government departments and external agencies across multiple lines of business.

Work Experience :

  • Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Customer service experience with clients (answering calls/emails, providing documents, referrals)
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel features (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)
  • Experience using Microsoft SharePoint
  • Experience with ServiceNow platform
  • Experience using CXone
