About This Role

The Customer Service Representative specializes in providing technical support and consulting to clients, handling all aspects of client services proactively and with problem-solving skills.

Specific Responsibilities
  1. Respond to client calls, emails, and requests within a timeframe set by your supervisor;
  2. Provide information about analytical programs, tests, sampling, sample handling, pricing, and testing requirements;
  3. Review and approve data reports and invoices;
  4. Track client projects and update the lab manager or clients on status when requested;
  5. Prepare, issue, and follow up on quotes;
  6. Communicate with laboratory staff regarding turnaround times and relay information to clients;
  7. Share relevant information about customers, contracts, and opportunities with the Lab Manager;
  8. Coordinate with other departments on project status and resolve issues;
  9. Serve as a backup for the Sample Reception position;
  10. Follow proper methods and procedures while ensuring analytical quality;
  11. Observe safety regulations and comply with ALS health and safety policies;
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Intermediate English communication skills (auditory, verbal, written, reading);
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Outlook) and basic computer skills;
  • Accurate and efficient data entry skills;
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines;
  • Analytical, process-oriented, with critical thinking skills in ambiguous situations;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Experience in a fast-paced, production, or preparation environment;
  • Customer service experience is an asset;
  • Valid Driver’s License.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds regularly;
  • Sit for a full shift;
  • Perform repetitive manual tasks;
  • Periodic travel for client meetings.
