Job description
Overview

We currently have an opening for a CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE, at our Belleville location.

This is a permanent, full-time position, Monday to Friday, onsite at our office located at 659 College St. East.

The purpose of this position is to trace all shipments, manage/update carrier authorities, handle all carrier communications and performance.

TRACE ORDERS
  • Keep all applicable internal and external parties informed on status of delivery.
  • Monitor all shipments to be picked up by outside carriers, update system with details, update carrier notes, advise Customer Service team of any delays.
  • Monitor all orders in transit, update system with in-transit data collected from carrier’s websites, update carrier notes, advise Service team of any delays.
  • Advise management of any internal service failure(s) and/or customer complaint and damages.
  • Update customers by email, provide bills of ladings, POD’s, and other documentation (e.g., weekly consolidation).
  • Set up dispatch orders and coordinate up pick up/ delivery appointments.
  • Provide delivery appointments for interliners at certain delivery locations.
  • May be required to follow up on deliveries after hours per business needs.
  • Build trips by placing orders in load sheets.
  • Obtaining PAPS clearance from brokers.
ADMINISTRATION
  • Monitor communication group email boxes, and ensure items are being addressed in a timely manner, including other communication platforms.
  • Update vendor profiles with current contact name, title, extension, email, cell phone, website for tracking, etc.
  • Ensure records and systems are updated, as related to area of responsibility to ensure all business intelligence remains accurate and current.
QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this position, Employees are expected to demonstrate competency in all responsibilities listed above, in addition, to the following:

EDUCATION

Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred: Post-Secondary training in logistics, preferably in the transportation industry.

Salary: $40,000 - $45,000

Hours: Monday - Thursday, 8:30am - 5:30pm, Friday, 10:00am - 7:00pm for the first 2 months

After 2 months: Monday - Thursday, 9:00am - 6:00pm, Friday, 10:00am - 7:00pm
