Job description

Pacific Coastal Airlines is seeking a Customer Service, Ramp, and Cargo Agent for a permanent part-time position (20-32 hours per week) based in Trail. We value safety-conscious and customer-oriented individuals who wish to thrive in a family-oriented, dynamic, and rewarding environment.

Our headquarters is located at the South Terminal building at Vancouver International Airport. We operate scheduled and charter flights between major international airports and remote destinations throughout beautiful British Columbia.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Check-in passengers, issue boarding passes, and verify immigration documents.
  2. Check baggage and collect excess baggage/overweight charges.
  3. Answer calls, and manage flight reservations (book, change, cancel).
  4. Resolve service disruptions, such as canceled or missed flights, and determine alternative options.
  5. Execute deplaning and boarding processes to ensure safety and punctuality.
  6. Process cargo shipments.
  7. Marshall, de-ice, and perform anti-icing procedures on aircraft.
  8. Load and unload passenger luggage, cargo, and pallets.
  9. Maintain a thorough understanding of company products, services, and policies, and promote them effectively.
  10. Commit to providing a safe, stress-free, and friendly passenger experience.
  11. Uphold service standards aligned with Pacific Coastal Airlines' philosophy.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Competencies
  1. Experience in a customer-facing role.
  2. Valid driver’s license.
  3. Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  4. Effective communication skills, including handling difficult conversations.
  5. Ability to multitask and solve problems in a changing environment.
  6. Comfortable using computers, credit, and debit machines.
  7. Willingness to work outdoors in inclement weather.
  8. Flexibility to work any day, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and irregular shifts.
  9. Professional demeanor when representing Pacific Coastal Airlines to partners, vendors, and customers.
  10. Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  11. Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds.
