As a kitchen team member, you will pre-cook and cook items, manage mise en place, and maintain clean, organized workspaces while adhering to health and safety policies. The hourly wage is $17.60, with details shared during the hiring process.

Qualifications

  • Proven cooking experience in restaurant or prep cook roles.
  • Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
  • Accurate and fast execution of tasks.

  • Prepare mise en place for high volume production.
  • Clean kitchen equipment after use per health and safety policies.
  • Label, date, store and rotate food in appropriate storage areas.
  • Communicate effectively with all operational departments.
  • Report needed maintenance or faulty equipment to supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

The hourly wage for this role is $17.60. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. Further details regarding our total rewards offerings will be shared by the Talent Acquisition team during the hiring process. Canadian work experience is not a requirement for this role. Please note that artificial intelligence–based tools may be used at certain stages of the recruitment and applicant screening process.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Prepare, pre-cook and/or cook food products as directed.
  • Prepare “mise en place” (setting in place of foods, garnishes, sauces, dishes, cutlery, etc) and other products as required for high volume production.
  • Clean kitchen equipment after use according to health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Label, date, store and rotate food and beverage products in appropriate storage areas.
  • Communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
  • Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
