This is a short-term, hands-on position supporting a four-day catered event. Staff will assist in preparing, cooking, serving, and maintaining the breakfast and lunch service in a pop-up outdoor kitchen. All team members will contribute to set-up and clean-up, while maintaining excellent presentation and hospitality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The key job functions are:

  • Prep, cook, and serve breakfast and lunch in an outdoor kitchen environment.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to internal staff and high-profile guests.
  • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in line with Food Safe certification.
  • Monitor and replenish condiments and supplies throughout the event.
  • Assist with set-up, clean-up, and overall event flow.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow team members in both morning and afternoon shifts.

Qualifications:

  • Must have valid Food Safe certification.
  • Must be friendly, reliable, and comfortable working on your feet in outdoor conditions.
  • Must be well-groomed, hygienic, and presentable.

Experience:

  • Previous food prep and cooking experience, preferably in a restaurant or catering environment.
  • Experience working customer-facing roles, ideally within events, food service, or hospitality.
  • Familiarity with high standards of cleanliness and food handling.

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and food safety compliance.
  • Ability to work efficiently and remain upbeat in fast-paced settings.
  • Physical stamina to stand and move around throughout the shift.
  • Team-oriented mindset and positive attitude.
  • AM Shift: 4:30AM – 9:30AM
  • PM Shift: 11:00AM – 2:00PM

* Candidates available for both shifts preferred (split shift with 1.5-hour unpaid break)

*Overtime paid after 8-hours

  • This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
