An Equipment Rental Coordinator / Customer Service Representative is crucial to the rental experience. As the first point of contact via phone or email, professionalism and excellent customer service are essential. This role involves handling rental inquiries internally and externally in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and organization skills are vital for success and growth within our organization.

Job Summary

We seek a motivated, customer-oriented Equipment Rental Coordinator to join our Calgary head office, fulfill customer requirements, and grow with us.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Answer all phone/email inquiries and process rental requests professionally and effectively.
  • Coordinate with delivery drivers across Canada and the USA.
  • Work with maintenance staff to ensure equipment readiness.
  • Maintain and document inventory daily, with a strong focus on inventory control.
  • Process new rental contracts daily following SOPs.
  • Coordinate with the Service Department on equipment and repair issues.
  • Cold call potential customers to generate new business.

Qualifications and Skills

  • At least two years of experience in customer service, retail, construction, or rental industries.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is a plus.
  • Self-starter, customer-focused, team player.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (5+ years required).
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.

Know-How & Experience

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • English and Spanish language skills are an asset.
  • Proven customer relations, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong planning skills.
