Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a customer service focused associate to join our local, community oriented store in Canada.

You will greet customers, ring up purchases, and ensure a neat checkout area while handling cash, coupons, and PC Optimum with accuracy. You will maintain signage, staging and stock presentation, follow loss prevention procedures, and uphold our high standards of appearance, health and safety, and service.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with cash handling and POS is desirable.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to balance teamwork and efficiency in processing customer orders.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service and engages with customers.
• Maintains neat and organized checkout area.
• Greets customers and displays a warm demeanor.
• Accurately scans or enters product data.
• Accurately accounts for cash, coupons, lottery, and PC Optimum.
• Requests PC Optimum card during transactions.
• Ensures proper documentation for receipts and returns.
• Merchandises and maintains designated areas (facing, signing, labeling).
• Follows loss prevention standards and controls cash and inventory.
• Maintains professional appearance per policy, health and safety rules, and store procedures.
