Job description

Pacific Coastal Airlines is seeking a permanent part-time (20-32 hours per week) Customer Service, Call Centre, and Cargo Agent based in Prince George. We are looking for a candidate who values a family-oriented, dynamic, and rewarding work environment. We are excited to welcome safety-conscious and customer service-minded individuals to continue their careers with us.

Pacific Coastal Airlines is headquartered at the South Terminal building at Vancouver International Airport. We operate scheduled and charter flights between busy international airports and remote destinations within the beautiful province of British Columbia.

The ideal candidate has excellent phone and interpersonal skills and enjoys working in a dynamic environment where multitasking and flexibility are essential.

Note: Call Centre duties will constitute approximately 75% of the role.

Job Responsibilities
  • Respond to inquiries regarding fares, schedules, and routings.
  • Book, modify, and cancel flight reservations.
  • Resolve service disruptions over the phone and in person, offering alternative flight options.
  • Check-in passengers, issue boarding passes, and verify immigration documents.
  • Check baggage and collect excess or overweight charges.
  • Manage deplaning and boarding processes to ensure safety and punctuality.
  • Process cargo shipments.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of company products, services, and policies, promoting them consistently.
  • Provide a safe, stress-free, and friendly passenger experience.
  • Uphold service standards aligned with Pacific Coastal Airlines' philosophy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Competencies
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills, including handling difficult conversations.
  • Ability to multitask and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort with using computers and payment machines.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in inclement weather.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and irregular shifts.
  • Professional demeanor when representing Pacific Coastal Airlines.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds.
