Job summary

Det’on Cho Management LP (DCMLP) seeks a full-time Customer Service Administrator for NorthBest Distributors LTD, a Det’on Cho Group of Companies division. You will provide admin and customer service support to ensure smooth warehouse and retail operations in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will manage files, prepare orders, respond to inquiries, assist with inventory and POS systems, and coordinate across departments while upholding confidentiality and safety

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary administration education is asset.
  • 1 year administrative or office experience preferred.
  • Experience in a retail or warehouse environment is asset.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Comfortable using inventory and retail POS systems.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and work with minimal supervision.
  • Physical ability to stand/sit and lift up to 25–40 lb.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and customer service support to warehouse and retail operations.
  • Maintain files, records, and correspondence; prepare reports and purchase orders.
  • Respond to inquiries by phone and email; assist with returns and special orders.
  • Support inventory counts, shipping, receiving, and data entry in systems.
  • Coordinate between warehouse, receiving, merchandising and office staff.

What you will do

NorthBest Distributors LTD, a Det'on Cho Group of Companies division, has an opening for a full-time Customer Service Administrator. The Customer Service Administrator provides administrative, customer service, and operational support to ensure efficient warehouse and retail operations. This position supports inventory control, member or customer inquiries, scheduling, documentation, and coordination between the warehouse floor and office functions. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail warehouse environment.

A Day in the Life

Reporting to the General Manager, your job duties include:

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to warehouse management.
  • Maintain office files, records, documents, and correspondence.
  • Prepare reports, forms, purchase orders, and inventory paperwork.
  • Answer telephones, respond to emails, and support internal and external inquiries.
  • Provide excellent in-person and telephone customer service.
  • Assist customers with warehouse inquiries, product questions, returns, or special orders.
  • Resolve or elevate customer concerns in a professional manner.
  • Assist with tracking shipments, receiving paperwork, and verifying deliveries.
  • Support inventory counts, adjustments, and cycle counts.
  • Ensure all inventory documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Enter data into inventory and retail point-of-sale systems.
  • Coordinate with receiving, merchandising, and warehouse departments.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company information.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and warehouse safety standards.
  • Serve as a communication link between warehouse management and team members.
  • Prepare daily communication logs, schedules, and operational updates.
What You Bring
  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education in administration is considered an asset.
  • One year of administrative or office experience preferred.
  • Experience in a retail or warehouse environment is considered an asset.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Comfortable using inventory and retail point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to twenty-five to forty pounds occasionally.
  • Comfortable working in an office environment located inside an active warehouse.
  • Familiarity with Yellowknives Dene language, culture and way of life would be considered assets.
