Brown & Brown is seeking a Customer Sales and Service Representative to join our growing team in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada!
The Customer Sales and Service Representative manages the daily servicing of an assigned book of business by handling quoting, policy processing, coverage analysis, renewals, claims support, and client communication to ensure accurate and timely delivery of insurance solutions. Provide proactive risk management and consultative guidance to clients, while fostering strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal teams to support retention and business growth.
How You Will Contribute
Manage day-to-day account responsibilities including quoting, binding new business, processing policies/endorsements, issuing certificates of insurance, claims reporting, MVR, Auto plus and Hits reporting, premium breakdowns, auto ID cards, policy changes, reviewing policy forms, providing coverage comparisons, loss analysis, and responding to coverage questions promptly.
Ensure proper risk management based on client profiles, offering appropriate insurance coverage and limits.
Build courteous and successful relationships with clients, vendors, and carriers to enhance client retention.
Identify coverage gaps and consult leadership or client advisors on options to advise clients effectively.
Assist in the renewal process for all assigned and prospective clients, including obtaining updated information, handling renewal applications, marketing, account rounding, reviewing and negotiating renewal pricing, and preparing renewal proposals and binders if applicable.
Review internal compliance, client disclosures, policies, endorsements, and certificates to ensure alignment with client expectations and legal requirements.
Support growth of the assigned book of business through account rounding and referrals.
Assist marketing and sales teams as needed.
Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing, and maintain a positive attitude within the department and office.
Participate in training to stay current on industry developments, new products, legislation, coverages, and technology, including professional development and continuing education for licensing.
Licenses and Certifications:
RIBO Licensed
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
At least 2 years of experience in the insurance industry or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), including creating, editing, and merging documents and spreadsheets.
Proficiency with office equipment such as copiers, printers, and faxes.
