Role Profile

Position : Customer Sales & Service Representative

Job Location : Sarnia Ontario

Job Type : Full-Time

Status : Non-Exempt

Summary of the Role

The function of the Customer Sales & Service Representative is to provide direct support to customers Account Manager and Branch Operations personnel in the ongoing development of existing and prospective LGG Industrial customers to ensure that the Service Center is able to meet its growth targets.

Responsibilities

  • Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.
  • Processes incoming inquiries in to company sales system.
  • Quotes customers using working knowledge of product.
  • Successfully achieves budgeted Service Center sales goals.
  • Receives incoming shipments into inventory posts in online system and places items in warehouse.
  • Picks product in warehouse and prepares items for delivery or shipping.
  • Assembles products to company customer or manufacturers standards.
  • Performs all product testing to quality standards as per work instruction.
  • Operates mechanical equipment hand tools forklifts and picking lifts.
  • Monitors delivery date commitments and expedites where appropriate.
  • Makes outbound calls to potential and existing customers for new and sales growth opportunities.
  • Builds and maintains strong internal and external relationships.
  • Provides technical / service support to account management service center management and internal and external customer.
  • Assists with physical inventory.
  • Delivers product as required.

Skills and Abilities

  • Possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to interact with customers and team-members in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Must have excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Requires a proficiency in math skills including addition subtraction multiplication and division in units of measure.
  • Must be able to perform calculations using whole numbers fractions and decimals.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Word Excel internet and email.
  • Must be able to successfully utilize the company software.
  • Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in industrial sales
  • College degree preferred will consider equivalents.
