With the opportunity for direct engagement with the Executive Committee, and exposure to senior stakeholders across our Distribution Partner and external third parties, this role will shape customer focussed strategies and lead a team in the delivery of market leading customer outcomes.

Accountabilities will include:

  • Customer Outcomes - Guide and enable the delivery of superior customer outcomes with a consistent commitment to the highest levels of integrity, governance and compliance.
  • Strategic Delivery - Lead and enable the delivery of strategic projects across Products, Financial Advice and Digital Proposition agendas.
  • Distribution Relationship Management – Lead the relationship management and engagements with our Distribution Partner across a breadth of strategic initiatives and governance programmes.
  • Partner Management - Build collaborative relationships, both internally and with other external Partners, at a senior level, to positively influence the outcomes of decisions and gain commitment from stakeholders to deliver across a range of our customer agendas.
  • Risk – Design & implement proactive risk management practices fit for a scaling business that consider the impacts of decisions on customers, and on the business. Lead the wider business in the robust management of risks and issues that factor the regulatory and conduct standards of a regulated industry.
  • Governance - Management of the highest level decision making committees in a regulated industry, (including across Product, Pricing, Advice and Customer Conduct agendas).
  • People Leadership – Lead, develop and mentor a team of professionals, guiding their professional development, embedding a culture of excellence and enabling delivery to the highest standards.

You will need to show us that you:

  • Have proven experience in Product and Proposition management in a life insurance company, in a distributor of wealth products or within financial services to deliver a range of customer strategies.
  • Hold a relevant degree and regulatory qualification, (e.g., QFA) .
  • Foster and influence relationships with a range of senior stakeholders, both internal and external, to implement collaborative ways of working and engagement models that deliver common objectives.
  • Demonstrate the management of external and internal forces, both regulatory and competitive, that influence and challenge the development and lifecycle management of Products & Propositions, while advocating for the best interests of the customer.
  • Lead teams to display a future-proofing mindset, delivering customer innovation and market leading solutions that factor end-to-end perspectives. Develop alternative, creative and sustainable approaches to problem solving while managing ambiguity.
  • Proven experience in working to challenging timelines, displaying the ability to project manage, and deliver large scale projects while building and maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence.
