About the role

As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you’ll be bringing the unique blend of quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service right to our customers’ doors. Actively playing out our ethos - passionate Partners serving food lovers. When you're not out on the road, you'll be back at the shop supporting the team with daily tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the efficient and productive running of the shop in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Note: You need to be 18 years or older to work in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Checking your delivery routes for the day.
• Loading and preparing your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are ready for efficient delivery to customers.
• Completing vehicle safety checks, maintaining road compliance, health and safety standards.
• Representing the Waitrose brand with excellent customer service on the road.
• Helping customers with their shopping and building rapport based on trust and service.
• Supporting shop team tasks as needed.

Essential skills/experience

• Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good time management.
• Physical ability to handle tasks like lifting crates and moving cages.
• Ability to work independently, self-motivated, adaptable.
• IT literacy.

Desirable skills/experience

• Previous driving experience, knowledge of chilled vehicles preferred.

Working two shifts per week: 14:00-22:15 on Friday and 07:30-15:45 on Sunday.
